Othello is Shipped to Cyrpus for Battle

The Duke has pronounced today that Othello will lead the Venetians to victory in Cyprus. The moor said that the victory will be swift and victorious. Othello is a devote reader of Sun Tsu and will use the principals that Sun Tsu preaches in, The Art of War, to win the war. Othello is battle tested, and with Cassio as his second in Command, victory is certain. We should praise this moor for the abilities he possesses. Desdemona, Othello's wife, will be accompanying him to Cyprus. (Act 1: scene iii)

A well deserved opportunity for Othello. Who cares if he is a moor.

Many people take his color into consideration. Why do you think Brabantio cursed him?
