Othello and Iago Bloody Partnership?
An eyewitness says he saw Othello and Iago take a blood oath. He does not know what the oath was for. I believe he is swearing an oath of allegiance to Othello and Venice due to his new promotion. Remember that Cassio was stripped of his position following a bloody assault on Montano at Motano's annual party. The witness reports Othello and Iago to be whispering, but he did say that they both looked extremely serious. The bloody oath is known to be the sacred of all bonds. Whatever they are promising to do, it must be serious. (Act 3: scene iii)

Something does not makes sense. I think this may lead to disaster.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be serious to make a blood oath. Maybe a blood oath will lead to blood shed. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteI heard Othello say this to Iago, "Now, by yond marble heaven,in the due reverence of a sacred vow I here enrage my words." It looks like they want revenge or something or someone. I don't know what though.
